Apologies

Just so you don't think I'm wallowing in self-pity, I'll tell you- there are good things in my life. My son received his Eagle Award on Saturday. (Pictures to come.) And, Sleepy Joe gave me this...

There are rules and requirements to this award, and I promise to fulfill them. Another day.

For today, I am saying I'm sorry. I've been a complete slacker. I haven't been blogging, and, even worse, I haven't been reading all the blogs I love so much. Thing is, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. Between family, finances, self-esteem issues, rejection anxiety, and a job search- I'm dragging.  I need something to drag me out of this funk and I don't know what it is.

Don't give up on me. I've not gone far. Hopefully, I'll be back soon.

  4. I so wish I lived in the same country at least. It sounds like you really need a hug.

Slacking... I have no room to talk!!! So we will skip over that point swiftly!!

In the face of everything in front of you remember you are still able to see the positives in your life. There are times in life that will test us, there are people put in our way to bring us down. However there are always a few people put in our way to remind us we have wings, we just have to remember how to fly.

I hope somebody puts the wind beneath your wings to lift you from the place you are soon. In the mean time I will never give up on you, you make me smile too much ;-)

Love and hugs. And I can't wait to see your answers to the questions I set (which I will have to remind myself of, I am soo forgetful at the moment!)

  5. I SO get it! I am in a very slack-y place myself for all the same kinds of reasons and my heart goes out to you. For me, the feeling that I am letting my blogging community down makes it all harder and worse, so I will just say to you: You're not letting me down. I miss you, but I don't judge you one bit for not being around as much. Congrats on both those accomplishments! Cheer will come again soon. You deserve it and it will come back to you. It's as inevitable as dawn.

  8. Hi friend. I can totally understand how you are feeling. Wish we could have a girls day! Love you!

  9. I could've written practically this entire post--except the Eagle Scout part. I got the same award from Sleepy Joe and I haven't even dragged myself out of my whiny funk to go check it out until today. I am a horrible blogger and a brat of a human being.

Hope you're feeling better and come back soon. You can email me if you feel like venting to some random internet friend. ;)

  10. Hang in there! All of us have crappy days...weeks, months. Truth be told, I kind of feel like I'm just coming out of a funk that I've been inhabiting off and on since January. Let me know when you want to go to lunch (or breakfast or whatever) and we can vent and complain and cry all you want. Or instead we can laugh and chat and be silly all you want. Maybe a combo of all of the above? :)

Congrats on the Eagle Scout award....that's big time stuff!
