A Note to my Six Readers

Ten days. If you say it in hours, it sounds much better.

 2400 hours.

Oh, wait. Ten days is 240 hours, isn't it? Crap.

Ten days. That's how long till my daughter's wedding. Granted, the sweet girl is doing most of the work, but still.  The next (almost) two weeks is filled with activity.

*Brittany goes to the temple for the first time on Friday.

*Saturday, is her shower, thrown by me. (Where we will tie a quilt, to be made by me this week.)

*Also on Saturday is my audition for Listen to Your Mother. I sent a request for an audition last night around midnight. Not sure I was in my right mind. I have to finish the piece I wrote (also around midnight) and practice it so I don't make a total fool of myself.

*Next week, my calendar looks deceptively empty-- until Friday. And while those calendar squares have nothing written on them, there will be a flurry of activity to get ready.
* The wedding is in the morning. Then the luncheon. Then decorate the church, then the reception.  Then, clean up.

My chest feels a bit tight.

So, if my blog appears to have been abandoned, rest assured, it's not. Once I have my breakdown on the 23rd, it'll be back to nonsense as usual.

(PS- Can't resist the urge to brag a bit. Not about my photography skills (a good camera and a computer do wonders), but about how lovely my daughter is.)

Isn't she beautiful? And graceful? And, well, she is still a kid at heart...

  5. Umm....Neon Dragon, that's me. Well sort of. It's the name of some blog Julianne started in 7th grade that she didn't even know was still active. But she was signed into her google account on my computer and so when I commented...Neon Dragon! (She laughed really hard.) Sorry for the confusion!!

  8. How exciting! The day of my sisters wedding, we laced her up and discovered that a tiny little snap wasn't done. It wasn't noticed before we started and we weren't about to undo all the work to snap it up. So I got a knife (thank goodness for handy husbands with pocket knives) and I carefully sliced it off. It wasn't a big deal, but it's one of our favorite stories to retell! Here's hoping you all create some wonderful memories that you'll share through the years.
