L is for Laughter

Laughing through the tears?

No. I didn't win the contest, but it's all good. (The contest winner got her query letter and 10 pages of her novel sent to the contest blog owner's agents. This is a big deal, getting a book agent to read your stuff.)  It's weird, I thought I'd be more upset. I'm actually grateful for the contest because it pushed me to get my query letter ready and my book edited.

So, today, I'll be making a list of agents to query.  My agent is out there. Somewhere.

Happy Friday, everyone!

  1. Good luck! You're too talented NOT to be published.

  2. Ahh I like your blog! I'm following you :) Good luck! I love that picture!

    1. Thanks! When I saw that picture, I just couldn't quit laughing.

  3. Good attitude! And I love the cartoon/card thingy.

  4. You GO, Jewels! Getting the query letter ready to go is the hardest part, I think. The rest is just postage, right?
Sorry you didn't win, but I'm glad it has nudged you closer to getting your beautiful work out there.

  5. Good luck! Just know you will be published in no time. You are a great writer!

  6. I laughed. Anyway, you've got the query letter ready...that's HUGE!

  7. Dum-Dums don't know what they're missing.

  8. I'm sorry you didn't win but I am sure you and your book will be out there someday soon!!

  9. First, I love the blogging cartoon at the start (my kids can identify with this!) and second, I'm sorry to hear of the contest outcome, but it's totally awesome that you're letter is ready and you are making a list. Good luck!
